Frequently asked questions
Common questions about buying and installing AIA Editor.
Do I need accounts anywhere besides GitHub?
Yes, the first time you run AIA Editor, it walks you through creating two free accounts (Pexels and Pixabay), used to fetch b-roll footage for Reel2 and Reel3. This happens once, during initial setup, regardless of which Reel type you use first, so everything is ready and you won't have to stop mid-edit to configure it later.
I got “Failed to install plugin.” What do I do?
The most common cause is this machine never having authenticated to GitHub via Git. Try installing again, watching for a GitHub sign-in window opening in your browser. If the error persists, run the command below in any temporary folder, from the terminal (Mac) or command prompt (Windows). This forces the authentication to happen visibly:
git clone https://github.com/SergioMatocanovic/aia-editor.gitAfter completing the sign-in, try installing the plugin again from the app.
Do I need Git installed?
Yes, Git is a prerequisite for the installation. Download it at git-scm.com/downloads.
I haven't accepted the GitHub invitation yet, what happens?
The installation will fail until you accept the invitation that arrives by email from GitHub. Open the collaborator invitation email, click “Accept invitation”, then try installing again.
I bought it but didn't receive the GitHub invitation, now what?
Didn't get the email? The invitation also shows up at github.com/notifications, even without an email. Also check the spam folder of the email associated with your GitHub account. If the invitation really doesn't show up, contact us at support@platformaia.com with the GitHub username used in the purchase, and we'll sort it out manually.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within the first 7 days of your purchase, see our Refund Policy for the exact conditions. Refunds aren't automatic: reach out to support with your purchase details, and we'll process it manually.
